A recent sponsor donated professional outside catering equipment to support our Food Production trainees.

The equipment has transformed practical training — enabling students to gain hands-on experience with industry-standard tools, and opening opportunities to serve community events, institutional functions, and private occasions.

Beyond the equipment itself, this sponsorship reflects the confidence that partners and well-wishers place in our mission of equipping young people with employable and entrepreneurial skills. With access to these tools, our trainees are better prepared for careers in hospitality — and better positioned to start their own catering businesses one day.

Miriam Njuguna

After completing her KCPE in 2023, Miriam made an ambitious choice: she'd pursue vocational training alongside her secondary school studies.

She enrolled at Mugunda in 2026 and completed Food Production Level 3. Now, driven by her passion for culinary arts, she's progressing to Level 4 — all while still studying in Form Three.

Through her training, Miriam has built practical skills in food preparation, kitchen safety, menu planning, customer service, and professional cookery — a foundation for a future in hospitality, whether as an employee or an entrepreneur.

From KCSE graduate to future caregiver

After completing her KCSE in 2025, Immaculate Mundia made a clear decision: she'd build a career in caregiving.

Motivated by a passion for helping others, she enrolled in Mugunda's Home-based Care programme to gain the practical knowledge and skills needed to provide quality care to children, older adults, and individuals with special needs.

Since joining Mugunda, Immaculate has demonstrated commitment and enthusiasm in both classroom and practical training. She's developing competencies in patient care, communication, hygiene, nutrition, first aid, and professional ethics — skills that prepare her for work in hospitals, care homes, community health programmes, and home-based services.
