Our story

From adult learning to vocational training

Mugunda Vocational Training Centre is a private institution in Nyeri County's Kieni West Sub-County, Mugunda Ward. We opened our doors in May 2023 as an adult education centre, in response to a clear need in our community.

Adult education remains at the heart of what we do — our learners continue to prepare for KCSE before the 8-4-4 system ends, and basic literacy classes will continue afterward. In 2025 we began the transition to a full Vocational Training Centre. Our TVET accreditation is now complete, with TVET CDACC as our examining body.

Today Mugunda welcomes adult learners, school leavers, and students from across Kenya — all learning together under one roof.
